ABOUT
Tim's Personal Training
Tim Hines
Fitness Trainer, Founder
I have been a keen sportsman since my early years at school and have always found the joy and benefits of physical activity.
As soon as I was 16 I was training in gyms and achieved my fitness instructor qualification at 18, while studying. At 21 I achieved a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science. I have been coaching in sports and gyms ever since then, gaining skills and experience.
After recently leaving a teaching career I decided to go back to what I love, helping people achieve their fitness goals by starting my own self-contained gym facility.
With a list of clients success stories I am also now proud to be the official Strength and Conditioning coach for Hertfordshire Crusaders Rugby League Club
The Gym
Indoors or outdoors
The gym started as an outdoor workout platform where my first clients enjoyed the good weather. I have since built a good-sized indoor facility with all the practical equipment for an effective programme. I love the outdoors and most of my clients like to make the most of the outdoor area, as well as the park when the weather permits. We are set in the fields of Holwell so this is nothing like your ‘concrete gym’ experience!

Sarah Hill
“Great circuit training classes for all levels … lovely park setting amongst great people. Tim is a great personal trainer … he mixes up the training sessions to keep us all motivated and pushes us to achieve our goals - love it.”
Ben Wallace
“I have worked with a few personal trainers but since I have been training with Tim I have learnt and achieved things that I considered beyond my ability. The sessions are also tailored to the type of training enjoy. I am so motivated by seeing what I can achieve on my next session, that I never want to miss one!”
Jim Tizzard
“I've been taking PT sessions with Tim to help improve my core strength and overall fitness, and it's been working really well so far! Tim's knowledge and coaching skills are excellent. I'd recommend him to anyone who wants an alternative to gym membership.”
Clients have a variety or abilities and targets, many of which they have achieved, and gone beyond. I believe the job of a coach is not just to set realistic targets, but take people beyond them and inspire them to think of new ones. Clients who persevere achieve weight/fat loss, increase core strength and fitness, go down clothes sizes, increase their ability to carry out everyday tasks, increase overall wellbeing, and gain knowledge.
